Will Smith Doesn't Like Hugs in New 'Suicide Squad' Ads

As Suicide Squad’s Aug. 5 release date edges closer, audiences are getting more and more looks at the super villain team-up, including two new TV spots. Watch one above and one below.

The latest clips don’t have a ton of new material, but they do highlight the film’s humor and bawdy sensibilities. The focus also falls squarely on Will Smith’s deadpan assassin Deadshot as he executes bad guys and one-liners with equal amounts of aplomb. (We particularly enjoy him shunning any sort of congratulatory hug with Joel Kinnaman’s Rick Flag. What was the elite super soldier thinking?) Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn might already have a spinoff movie in the works, but Deadshot will have something to say.

This probably won’t be the last we’ll see of Suicide Squad before its Aug. 5 premiere. There’s also a big push planned around San Diego Comic-Con in July.
